Textiles
The textiles used at House of Finn Juhl are of the highest quality, easy to maintain and extremely durable. Our partners continuously work to improve the quality and lifespan of the textiles, while minimizing the negative environmental impact.
The Martindale-test is used to test the durability of the textiles. During the test, the fabric is worn against a standard woolen with a specific weight load, which determines the wear resistance.
When choosing a piece of furniture, remember to take into consideration in which environment the furniture is to be used, as well as the wear resistance you need.
For private use, the Technological Institute recommend between 10.000-25.000 Martindale. For use in public spaces, a minimum durability of 10.000-45.000 is recommended. Nevertheless, most of our textiles has a remarkably higher durability.
